In the part of the world i come from, India, there are not a lot of famous sports other than cricket. I grew up wanting to be a cricketer and cricketer i did become. Albeit a club cricketer. The age old Indian tradition of education-for-degree caught up with my dad as well. And my cricketing career ambition was nipped in the bud.

It is a boon to me. If you are competitive, aggressive, persevering..then racquetball is the game to look at. Physical fitness is not a prerequisite. It is one of the game's end product.
It is a game for all ages and all weather. If you are in the western hemisphere, then weather can play havoc with your fitness ethics. But racquetball transcends all these limitations. People think of racquetball as an elite sport. It is not, anyone can play and learn the game very fast unlike tennis, soccer, cricket etc. That is the beauty of the game.
